JANE STINE
PARENTING, TRAVEL, AND LITTLE JOYS
My son really loves Science Verse and Math Curse. Give them a try if you have a kid who loves numbers or poems.
Max and I spent all of January preparing his own art museum. He made all different styles of art, tickets, signs, the whole deal. This is him giving his dad (the museum’s only visitor) a tour.
Clearly thrilled. Such joy. Have a great week, reluctant homeschoolers! Me: Don’t worry buddy. Everyone makes mistakes. I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life.
Max: That doesn’t surprise me. Trying to imagine why the person who created this pre-packed crystal growing kit for children, which could of course contain any amount of powder, has you mix 2/3 of the powder (of which there is an unlabeled amount, so you definitely have to guess) with exactly 2.29 ounces of water (for which you provide your own measuring cup that’s accurate to the milliliter.
“Don’t purchase kits from such garbage companies!” you might say. It’s made by the Smithsonian. “I can’t wait a whole week for a new president. I need some chips.” -Max
